Resultate und Komplikationen nach perforierender Keratoplastik bei herpetischer Keratitits
Retrospektiv werden die Komplikationen und Endresultate von 48 perforierenden Keratoplastiken
untersucht, die zwischen 1980-85 bei 40 Augen von 39 Patienten mit herpetischer Keratitis
durchgeführt wurden. Das Ausmaß der Entzündung zum Zeitpunkt der Operation hat keinen
wesentlichen Einfluß auf das Endresultat (Transparenz des Transplantats, Sehkraft).
Die lokale postoperative Anwendung eines Virostatikums zusammen mit einem antibiotikahaltigen
Steroidpräparat vermindert die Rezidivhäufigkeit.
Summary
The retrospective study reported here, covering the years 1980-1985, analyzed the
complications and final results in 48 penetrating keratoplasties for herpetic disease
(40 eyes of 39 patients). The clinical inflammatory condition at the time of surgery
did not appear to be important and, in this study, there were eyes with clear grafts
and good visual acuity both in the group operated on for perforated ulcer as well
as among the patients who underwent surgery when the condition was clinically inconspicuous.
Postoperative local administration of antiviral drugs together with steroids and antibiotics
seems helpful in preventing herpetic recurrences.
